1979 Chevrolet Corvette This car was chemically striped years ago with the wrong striper. By doing this, 90% of the factory gel-coat was removed, which in turn made removing the paint from this car a much longer process and not as pretty to look at. If you take a good look at the photos that show the parts of the car that still had gel-coat, you can see what a nice job the soda process does. The car had quite a bit of body damage on the nose, hood, driver's door, and passenger rear quarter. All the jam openings are taped one inch beyond because the jams of the car were not going to be redone.
